You can find much in the way of Denver entertainment. Several major and minor sports league teams are located in Denver and fans turn out to the various fields and stadiums in record numbers.  The Colorado Avalanche (NHL) @ Pepsi Center and the Denver Nuggets (NBA) @ Pepsi Center. The Pepsi Center, Denver Colorado also houses the Colorado Mammoth and Colorado Crush and will seat close to 20,000 fans during games.

The Denver Broncos (NFL) @ Invesco Field are famed for four losses at the Super Bowl before winning back-to-back victories in 1998 and 1999.  The Denver Broncos are also known for an unbroken series of sell-out crowds for home games and a statistical winning edge over opponents at their Denver home stadium.


Colorado Rapids (MLS) brought soccer, “The world game” to Denver.  Their home field has been the Mile High Stadium, Invesco Field and they’ll be moving into Dick’s Sporting Goods Park beginning with the 2007 season.


The Colorado Rockies (MLB) @ Coors Field was awarded to Colorado AFTER the stadium had already been approved by voters.  The stadium will seat over 50,000 fans and capacity crowds are not unusual for this baseball only stadium.


Several sites in and around Denver are of interest to those who prefer their entertainment venues close to home.  Downtown Denver, Colorado is the location of the Denver Public Library Central, Denver’s Downtown Aquarium, Six Flags Elitch Gardens, and the Denver Zoo.  Many of these sites are well within walking distance of downtown hotels. In addition, you can pick almost any Denver restaurant downtown and be assured of a meal to your taste. Approximately ten miles to the west of Denver you can visit the Red Rocks Amphitheater, and to the east you’ll find the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
